Detector Media Will Hold English-Language Briefings on Russian Propaganda Fakes and Narratives

The briefings will be delivered by Vadym Miskyi, program director of the NGO Detector Media, host of the Russian-language TV program Anatomy of a Fake and the “Russian Fake, Go *** Yourself!” podcast, both aimed at countering Russian disinformation.

Weekly briefings will be posted on Detector Media’s YouTube channel in English. They aim to refute key points and narratives of Russian disinformation and will be of particular interest to foreign journalists and audiences outside Ukraine, for which access will be provided, in particular, by the partnership with Media Center Ukraine.

“Russian disinformation should be thoroughly documented and refuted, all this will help not only to convey the truth about the events in Ukraine but also to bring the propagandists to justice in the future,” Vadym Miskyi, the host of the new program, explains its importance.

Two briefings have already been released, each reflecting a certain “informational and disinformational snapshot of the week”. In the first issue, the topics covered were fakes about the “collapse” of NATO, American “mercenaries” in the war in Ukraine, the Poseidon super torpedo and other nuclear threats, as well as other recent efforts of Russian propagandists.
